Starting with Faith to Finish Well

To finish well, one must begin with faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. This foundational step is crucial as we confront life's most important question: If today you were to die, where would you spend eternity? Imagine standing before the Lord, and He asks, "Why should I let you into heaven?"

If your answer is centered on your good works, deeds, or the things you avoided doing, you’ve missed the mark. Scripture is clear: "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). No amount of human effort can erase sin or make us righteous before a holy God. Without faith in Jesus Christ, the Bible warns of an eternity separated from God, an eternity spent in Hell.

However, there is good news! Jesus offers the free gift of salvation through His death on the cross and resurrection. By repenting of sin and placing your faith in Him alone, you can secure your eternity in Heaven and live a life that truly finishes well—in fellowship with God and in the fulfillment of His purpose for you.

Don’t delay this decision. It’s the starting point for a life well-lived and a race well-run. "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9). Will you trust Him today?
